Things to do.

Our holiday cottages are located on the fringe of Bodmin Moor which offers miles of rugged moorland, breathtaking tors and stone circles, fascinating relics of the Bronze Age, and the iconic chimneys and engine houses of Cornwall's mining heritage.

Lower Trengale Farm is ideally situated for exploring the beaches and fishing villages on the north and south coasts of Cornwall. There are many magnificent houses and gardens to visit within easy reach and walkers, cyclists, watersport enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies are also well catered for!

Explore Bodmin Moor

The wild expanse of Bodmin Moor with its ancient and industrial archeology and mining heritage lies about 1.5 miles to the north and there are some lovely walks close by at Golitha Falls and at the Hurlers Bronze Age stone circle at Minions. For the more serious walker, there is the circular 60 mile Copper Trail around Bodmin Moor. Siblyback Lake also offers plenty of walking and cycling as well as sailing and wakeboarding at its watersports centre.

Coast and beaches within easy reach

The South West Coastal Path offers stunning sea views and coastal scenery. You can join the south west coast path at Looe and walk in one direction to Polperro and on to Fowey and in the other direction from Looe to the sandy beaches of Seaton and Whitsand Bay.

Family Days Out

The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 30 minute drive and also within easy reach are the National Trust houses and gardens at Lanhydrock and Cotehele. The rugged North Cornish Coast with Padstow (and Rick Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant), Rock and Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame) are a similar distance from Lower Trengale.
