If you thrive on being active and want to experience an adrenalin packed holiday or something more leisurely, Lower Trengale is an excellent base for trying a range of exciting sports and activities.

  • Siblyback Lake Country Park - kayaking, stand up paddle-boarding, rowing, walking, fishing and birdwatching.

  • Hangloose Adventure- Based at the Eden Project, they offer, amongst other activities, their SkyWire, the longest zip-wire in England.

  • Adrenalin Quarry - choose from a host of activities, from karting to their aqua park and zip wire.

  • Copper Trail - a 60 mile 10 day circular hike round some of the most striking ancient monuments on Bodmin Moor. Can also be tackled as shorter one-day excursions.

  • South West Coastal Path - you can join the South West Coastal Path at Looe and walk for miles along the coast enjoying stunning views of the sea and hidden coves and beaches.

  • The Camel Trail - a virtually level trail for cyclists and walkers running along a disused railway line through spectacular scenery from Padstow to Wadebridge and then running through the lovely wooded Camel Valley to Bodmin.

  • Cardinham Woods - Whether you’ve just bought your first bike, or you’re looking for your next adrenaline fix, Cardinham Woods offers offers a fantastic opportunity for natural cycling.

  • Looe Golf Club - designed by by six times Open champion, Harry Vardon, Looe Golf Club is set around an area of breathtaking beauty with stunning sea and moorland views.

  • St Mellion - an internationally renowned golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

  • Lower Tokenbury Equestrian Centre - Horse rides and lessons available for all ages and abilities, with horse riding over Bodmin Moor.

  • Polmarton Farm - Horse riding is available all year, whatever the weather, and all rides out are totally traffic free. A visit to these riding stables, set on 60 acres of farmland offers the opportunity for riders of all abilities to enjoy panoramic views of the stunning Cornish landscape on horseback.

  • Bake Lakes - Trout and Coarse fishing for experts or beginners alike, wonderful setting for a day's fishing and birdwatching.

  • Boat Trips out of Looe and Polperro - There are dozens of boat trips and sightseeing excursions from the harbour walls at Looe and Polperro which run from March through to October. These include trips around Looe Island and along the coast, and glass-bottomed boat trips to view the beautiful plant life and fish on the sea bed.
