No near bus route. Nearest station at Liskeard.
Arrival, Car Parking and Equipment Storage
Car parking is very near to the cottages, either in the cottages car park or near to the Garage on the left of the drive. From the car park, the path to Loveny cottage slopes up gently, whilst Dozmary and Fowey Cottages paths slope gently down, all are a mixture of tarmac and concrete. There is a tarmac path which slopes down to the gate of Golitha Cottage's Garden. It is about 50 metres long. From the gate the path is over paving slabs to the entrance garden door of Golitha Cottage about 7 metres long.
Vehicles and their contents are left at the owners own risk. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles or their contents.
General
Lower Trengale Farm Holiday Cottages were created in 90s by converting barns into individual cottages. They are all, with the exception of Golitha Cottage, what are known as “upside down”, that is the bedrooms are primarily downstairs.
All the cottages have steps going up into the property, none have an inside floor area that is without steps to access bedrooms and bathrooms, either a full flight down or, as is the case with Fowey, two steps down to a bedroom and then three steps down to an en-suite shower/wc.
All lounge areas and bedrooms are carpeted, all kitchens and bathrooms have hard floors of either tiles or laminate flooring.
Cottages
Loveny
You enter the cottage up two steps and through the door into a carpeted hall area and the stairs to the bedrooms plus a door to the lounge and kitchen.
The lounge and kitchen are all on one level and open plan. The kitchen area has a laminate floor, the lounge area is carpeted. There are no steps on the upper floor in the cottage. Access to the lower floor and bedrooms is by a regular staircase with rail on the left hand side when descending.
Loveny sleeps three with both bedrooms downstairs, one double with adequate access both sides of the bed and one single bedroom with access to one side of the bed.
The bathroom has a roll top bath that is 68cm above floor level. There is a shower mixer tap on the bath but there is no separate shower unit or shower fitment on the wall. There are no steps on the lower floor of the cottage.
Dozmary
You enter the cottage up one step and through a door into the carpeted hall area, this leads via one step into the lounge kitchen area and one double bedroom, all these areas are on the same level. The lounge is carpeted and the kitchen has a laminate floor.
Stairs lead down to the lower floor and the bedrooms and bathrooms, these stairs have a left turn of ninety degrees half way down and a hand rail on the right when descending.
At the bottom of the stairs is a door to the bathroom which has a standard size toilet and basin with a tiled floor. The bath has a mixer shower attachment, there is no over the bath shower.
There is also the door to the twin bedroom which takes you via a small hall to another door and a small step down to the bedroom. The twin beds have access in between the beds and down one side of one bed.
Via a sliding door from this bedroom is the ensuite shower room, it has a shower (no seat) small basin and toilet, the floor is tiled.
Fowey
You enter the cottage up two steps and through a door into a carpeted hall area, this lead into the carpeted lounge area via a small step. The kitchen has a laminated floor and is on the same level, through the kitchen and down two steep steps is the upper level double bedroom, this has via a further three steep steps an ensuite shower (no seat) and toilet.
Steps lead down to the lower floor from the lounge area. The steps have a ninety degree turn near the bottom and a handrail on the right when descending. Off the lower hallway are three bedrooms and a bathroom.
The first single bedroom is accessed via a sliding door and has a single bed with access down one side only. The second bedroom with full size bunk beds is accessed via a small step down, the bunk beds have access on one side, off this bedroom though a door up a small step is an ensuite large shower (no seat) toilet, and basin, the floor is tiled.
The bathroom off the hallway has a roll top bath the top of which is 62cm above the ground. The double bedroom has access both sides of the bed of about 45cm and is the final room off the lower hall.
Golitha
You enter the cottage from the garden up one step through the french door into the carpeted lounge with kitchen area beyond with laminate flooring. A door from the lounge takes you into the carpeted hall of Golitha Cottage, from here there are stairs leading to the upstairs bedrooms, the stairs have a ninety degree turn six steps up and a handrail on the left as you ascend. There are also doors from the hall to the bathroom (laminate flooring) with regular bath with over the bath shower, basin and toilet and a twin bedded room (laminate flooring).
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (one king size) both with ensuite (one tiled and one laminate floor) showers (no seats) wc and hand basin.
Public Areas
The laundry room is in the courtyard (tarmac) and has a tiled floor with one internal step. The games room is also off the courtyard and has one internal step into the painted concrete and carpeted floor.
