Dry days out

Not only is there lots to enjoy onsite, we are perfectly positioned here at Lower Trengale Farm to explore and take full advantage of the wealth of activities that Cornwall has to offer. Here are a few ideas of where to head if you want to get out and about on a sunny day.

Cornwall has some of the finest beaches and is the perfect place to relax and unwind, far from the madding crowd. The holiday cottages at Lower Trengale are well placed for exploring the many beaches along the south east coast. The north coast beaches are also within easy reach of Lower Trengale and are popular with families and surfers.

Local Beaches

Lanhydrock House

20 minute Drive

We absolutely love Lanhydrock House. This is a national trust property and offers a fabulous house to explore, grounds to discover and a cafe to relax in. The grounds also include great cycling trails including an area for balance bikes which goes down very well with our littles as does the excellent play area!

Port Isaac

50 minute drive

Port Isaac is a great little fishing harbour and village. It has been made famous by the TV series “Doc Martin”. We visit all the time and love it there, we’d really recommend visiting one of Nathan Outlaw’s two restaurants if you fancy something a little bit special.

Porfell Wildlife Park and Animal Sanctuary

15 minute Drive

This is a great place to visit. Get up close to Meerkats, monkeys and other exotic animals. The sanctuary, is just that - a sanctuary, it takes animals who have been neglected, injured, imported illegally or when they are no longer wanted.
