New happenings at Lower Trengale Farm

Well, we have now been open for over a month and what a month! It has been so wonderful having lovely lovely guests in the cottages. We started opening week with three out of the four cottages booked giving us a taste of what it will be like in the summer! We cannot wait!

As some of you may already know we have been really busy since the last blog having updated the Games Room and also finished the new and improved laundry room with the addition of a small shop which is now all ready and stocked for our guests. As of 17 May we have been  able to open the communal areas to our guests and we hope they will enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed updating them!

Andy is very handy and has crafted all of the units in the laundry/shop whilst I have been very busy with a paintbrush, roller and tall ladder! I would love to know what you all think!

The games room is complete with a table tennis table, pool table and a selection of board games. I also thought it would be useful to add leaflets to give our guests inspiration for local attractions and things to do. I love the print from Abbie Imagine of the Cornish alphabet :-). I have also added a bit of a selfie wall (love it or hate it - I love it naturally) complete with the Angel wings doorway and the small flower panel. I can’t wait to see what our guests come up with!

The laundry room offers a washing machine and dryer for our guests as you walk into the room. The sink area (a lovely Belfast sink) is for use of the guests if needed. Above the sink we have made a blackboard and this will give our guests information about what we are doing on the farm along with any local events that might be of interest and also information about our shop. The shop itself stocks some commonly forgotten items which we hope will help when someone realises they have forgotten their toothbrush. Also (and more excitingly) I have been lucky enough to sample some wonderful local delicacies and other yummy nibbles that I hope our guests will discover and enjoy during their stay with us and after! I am in the process of trying to gain an alcohol license (no easy feat!) and I hope that by the summer holidays we will also be able to sell wine, beers and cider.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour, for a more detailed viewing book your stay today! We are pretty much booked up from mid-June until September but then onwards we have good availability. We also have three cottages available over Christmas and New Year (check out the website for more information!)

We can’t wait to welcome you to Lower Trengale Farm, your new special place.

Take care all and see you soon.

Gemma
